Ben has over 12 years of experience in personal training, and over 6 years of experience tutoring fitness and nutrition to aspiring personal trainers completing their qualifications.
His main areas of expertise as a personal trainer have been developed from working with Steve Cotter, one of the world’s leading kettlebell and bodyweight training instructors. He has progressed and developed his knowledge and skills in these methods of training, and has achieved excellent results in the development of his client’s strength, core stability and overall fitness.
Ben has also trained in boxing, Thai boxing and mixed martial arts, and has competed in ABA amateur boxing. Coaching the basic combat techniques has proved to be a popular method of high intensity cardiovascular training with many of his clients for the development of overall fitness, weight management, and as a good way of enjoying their training.
He has worked with athletes from a range of different sports, and has adapted the training to meet their conditioning requirements. As a qualified sports therapist, Ben designs rehabilitation plans to help athletes recover from injuries and return to competition standard, and has worked with the physiotherapy and conditioning teams at Leeds United FC. He also works closely with ante and post-natal clients to help them maintain a physically active lifestyle to support a healthy pregnancy and to help recovery to full fitness after childbirth.
